  • APC on leather and vinyl?

I've heard many people talk about using APC on their leather and vinyl interiors but have never heard a diffinitive answer on whether or not this is a safe practice.

The seats in my Mustang are leather in the front and vinyl in the back (cheap Ford couldn't put leather all around).

As I understand it, all leather seats are coated with a protectant anyhow, so you aren't really applying product to the leather.

So, can APC be used on leather and vinyl?

Of course, I'll use a test spot first to make sure there are no problems.

    Thanks everyone!

Yes, it is safe to use, just be sure to dilute properly of course.

You can even over-dilute a little if you just need very light cleaning and want to be cautious.

Keep in mind you will still need a leather and vinyl protectant applied after.

I have been using APC on my leather seats for more than 3 years and always followed it up with Meguiar's Medallion Premium Leather Care. Up to now, there seems to be no problem.

I dilute APC with 9 part water and 1 part APC.

By the way, I am not sure if the Medallion is still in production. As soon as I finish this product, I am planning to get the GC Leather Cleaner and Conditioner.
