Whats the right order?

Im quite new to detailing cars properly, i drive a 2000 honda civic in Nighthawk Black.

I used to just was my car then wax it.

I have now bought up a load of meguiars products (as it is the best)

But just want to know the right order to do things.....

1. Wash Car (Meguiars NXT Car Wash)
2. Quick Clay Detailing System
3. ScratchX (get rid of light Swirls)
3. Polish (Gold Class 2nd Step)
4. Wax (NXT Wax Paste)

Would the above be the right order? Or would something else work better?

I think on the polish step you mean DC#2. Remember you don't let the polish dry on the car before wiping it off.

Be sure to let the wax dry. Check using the swipe test.

Yeah, the order is correct. I watched Mike Philips demonstrate how to use StratchX this weekend. You REALLY have to put some muscle into it. He describes it as "passion behind the pad".

If I hadn't watched him do it, I would of applied it very gingerly like a wax. That just won't cut it (pun intended).
