Swirl Removal

Ok, I have tried to remove the swirls in both my 2002 Mustang and 2004 F-150, both of which are black, without much luck. Don't get me wrong, the paint on both vehicles look great except under sunlight and at certain angles.
Under the right conditions, the swirls are very noticeable.
Anyways, here is my process:
1. Wash and Dry.
I wash with a terry cloth and then dry using my blower around the mirrors and trim to get off the excess water and then dry the entire vehicle with a microfiber towel.
2. Clayed.
3. Swirl Remover using PC on setting 5. removed with microfiber cloth.
4. NXT applied by hand using the pad that came with it and removed with microfiber cloth.

I am still new at using the PC and the swirl remover so, do I need to try again or do I need some more aggressive products?

What compund are you using? I would suggest starting with #83 DACP. It may take a couple of passes to do the job. Follow that with #82 SFP to mirror out the finish then top with NXT. You may need to start with a more aggressive pad. I have used Meg's pads and they all work great, but IMO, the orange power pad from properautocare.com is awsome. This pad is aggressive enough to have good cutting power but can be used for final polishing as well. Just hang in there I worked on my vehicle for several days on and off removing accumalated water spots and numerous wash inflicted swirls. It takes a little patience, but it will get there.

Hey Gman, thanks for your reply.
I have not yet tried tha DACP but it is on my list once I get a little bit of extra cash.
I have the Meguiar's pads and in the case of the truck, i used the polishing pad to apply. I have the Cutting Pad, do you think that pad with #9 will have better results?

Here is a closeup of my trucks hood after the detail. As you can see, swirls are aplenty! this is looking almost straight down on the hood.

Meg #9 and #82 have the same cutting ability. They are both rated at 3 on the scale. I would use the meguiars polishing pad (W-8006) or a similiar pad on a setting of 4 or 4.5. Polish the panels until all the swirls are gone. You may need to follow up with some #81 hand polish(it has a very light cutting ability) if NXT does not fill in the remaining swirls. It may take a while to remove the remaining swirls with #9. You may need to go back and start with the DACP then work back up to the #9 or #82 if you find it is not working or taking too long. Hope this helps.

I used the cutting pad (w-7006) on my truck with the DACP then move up to a polishing pad with #82 SFP.
