  • ScratchX Reformulated!

Yes it is true ScratchX has been reformulated for use with a D.A. I read it in the '06 catalog and confirmed it through Meguiar's Help-Line... haven't seen the new product out in shelves yet though. It will probably take some time for the retail chains to clear their current stock and order the new stuff.

    Hi Mejia,

Thanks again for coming down and helping out with the makeover on the boat last week!

Just to clarify, yes ScratchX has been reformulated to be used with a dual action polisher. One of the reasons for this is because a lot people in other countries don't have access to our products in our Professional Line.

Another reason for this is because a lot of people don't know what a PBE store is but they know how to find a Wal-Mart or an Autozone.

Also note, the product won't be shipping until late May, possibly later... The catalog was printed before we we're ready to roll with the change, so everyone needs to hang tight for a while before they can get their hands on this...

Hey thanks for clarifying Mike... by the way thanks for the Catalogs... they have come in handy, plus without them I would have not made such an observation. Can't wait to try this new formula, I'm sure it will be great.

Will you still be able to use it by hand?

Yes. It will no longer instruct you to allow the product to dry before removing.

I was just going to ask this...

Great to see its getting re-formulated. Many people have used the old formula with a PC(may/may not work), seems there is a need for the new formula.

I know that Meguiar's doesn't recommend it but I tried once to
mix the Scratch X with some DC Paintcleaner as you can see here:

And as you can see, it went OK
