  • Need to use DC#2 after #80?

I've started going over my car removing all of the cobwebbing, panel by panel. It's a lot of work! I tried several passes of #80, but it wasn't quite getting through it, so now i'm using one pass of #83, and then one pass of #80. This gets about 90% of all of the micro-scratches out.

After I've done this, i've been using DC#2, and then a coat of NXT Tech Wax, and i'll apply another coat of NXT after i've finished the whole car (i'm a little over half way at the moment).

My question is: Is there any benefit to using the DC#2 in this instance, or does the #80 provide enough polishing?

    Thanks for any help

    Regards

    John

    Depends on your goals.

Using a pure polish after a cleaner/polish will help with your final 'looks', though to what degree is hard to say. You can try one panel without DC#2, just #83/#80/Nxt, and look if you can tell any difference. If you cant tell the difference, you can skip if you want.

As far as protection, and nourishing the paint, the #80 is quite enough to keep the paint healthy, so no worries about skipping DC#2 if you want to.
