  • Chrome Tailpipes Before and After

Here are some before and after pics of chrome tailpipes.A friend of mine gave me a flowmaster cataback system for my mustang. As you can see he never washed or wax them while they were on his car..The process i used
    1. soak chrome tips in warm sudsy bucket of goldclass wash for about 15 min to loosin road grimes and tar 2.used neverdull on chrome to get off the rest of the tar and imperfections.3.Polished with 80 speed glaze and d/a.4 finished off with megs caranuba wax..5. wrapped in plastic till i get them over to a muffler shop........not to bad for free......this system usually sell for over 300 bucks..cant wait to see how they look and hear how they sound on my car..

Be sure to post up the pictures when they are done. I'm sure they will look fantastic, they are already looking much better.

      Hey RZ Autodetailing

The pipes looks good! I love polishing chrome as a person can make it look spectacular. I usually Meguiar's NXT Metal Polysh for which I have had excellent results!

What model Flowmaster is it? A 40 or a 50 Series muffler? Either of these sound real mean!!!

The carnauba wax will be gone before the 1st stop sign...

Is there a sealant (NXT/#20/#21) that will tolerate the heat?

          IMHO, I don't think so...
