I am told that Lexus/Toyota Leather have a vinyl coating on it and should be cared for as vinyl, not leather. Anybody got the info on this?

The first thing that I would do is check the Car Manual to see what Toyota/Lexus recommends. You may also call your local dealership and see what they recommend. They should know what the material is. It’s best to know precisely what finish you are working with before applying any products. You never want to mix leather and vinyl products.Ash Erickson

Nearly all leather is coated with a polyurethane material these days. This is to make the leather surface more color and texture consistent.Jim
