    Hey prl01prelude

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

You have a lot of redundant steps. Moreover, I would make a few changes to your plan,

After washing and claying, if you have light marring/swirls, I would polish with #80 Speed Glaze on a W-8006 Polishing Pad with the PC set to speed 5. Becuase #80 is also rich in TS oils, you may not need the other pure polish (by the way, both #7 and #3 are pure polishes, so there is no need to use both). Also #7 does work better when applied by hand where as #3 was designed to be applied by machine.

Here is what I would suggest:

    1. Wash
    2. Clay
    3. Polish with #80 w/ a W-8006 Polishing Pad
    4. Decide whether you want a little extra pop from the #7 or the #3
    5. Top with 2 coats of NXT Tech Wax or #21 Synthetic Sealant ( or you could use either 2 coats of #26 or GC. There is no need to use both)

Here are some links that may be helpful. Be sure to read them all the way through before you start the detail.

        Hey,

If your car is in "Harsh" conditions, we may need to add another step, and use #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish before using the #80 Speed Glaze.

So to modify the above list:

        1. Wash

        2. Clay

        3. #83 w/ W-8006 Polishing Pad, PC set to speed 5. Work the product until it is a light residue. This may take a few minutes over a 2'x2' area. Remove with MF towel. Do not dry buff.

        4. #80 w/ W-8006 Polishing Pad, PC set to speed 5. Work the product until it is a light residue. This may take a few minutes over a 2'x2' area. Remove with MF towel. Do not dry buff.

        5. #3 w/ W-9006 Finishing Pad, PC set to speed 3. Apply the product thoroughly, and remove while still damp. Remove with MF towel.

        6. #21 x 2 w/ W-9006 Finishing Pad, PC set to speed 3. Allow the product to set-up ~15 minutes, then remove with MF Bonnet over a clean W-8006 Pad

Make sure to use a different pad for each step.

        I hope that helps!

Nope...2 coats of #21 will give your paint awesome protection as well as a deep rich gloss!

Here is my truck with #21 (and obviously some prep work before it):
