  • Bring on the SHINE..

I have been lurking around here for awhile to get some advice on taking my Black 92 bimmer to the next step. My spring cleaning used to consist of #9 followed by #26 as the car has been getting older it just doesn’t POP like it used to. After lurking around here I have come up with the following…

    Wash…
    Clay…
    Clean #83 maybe #80
    Polish #81 maybe #7
Wax I am unsure if I am going to go with NXT or #21 here..

    Am I missing anything?

You are going to be working with PC, etc?

You should try #80 first on a test area, then follow up with #83 if #80 isnt enough. You will probably want both products on your shelf.

Well, tough call for polish, I might pick #7, but you wont go wrong either way.

I would pick #21, everyone seems to get great durability with it, and it goes on easy and looks good for me.

And of course any trim dressings, tire products, etc.

You will want to apply cleaner polishes like #83 and #80 with #8006 pads. You will want one pad for each product, plus a spare if you want.

Pure polishes, and waxes, (#7/#81, #21) can be applied with #9006 pads. Again one for each product, and any spare if you want one.

Now, how are you planning to remove products? You can just remove the cleaners and polishes with a towel, like a Supreme Shine Microfiber.

For wax, you can use either towels or bonnets. If you choose bonnets, you will want a clean dedicated pad, and a couple of the Microfiber Bonnets. People will use either a clean dedicated #8006 pad or a #7006 pad. ONLY USE THE #7006 PAD UNDER THE BONNET, NOT DIRECTLY ON PAINT.
