  • Rims on a 94 Chevy Pick Up

    Hi,

I have a 94 Chevy Pick Up with factory aluminum rims. Does anyone know the best way to get the old pieces of clear coat off and polish them?

    Thanks,
    Randy

I am not sure that you want to "remove the clear coat" but you can just polish it all with NXT Generation All Metal Polysh which i just learned is clear coat safe so it should turn out good ... unless you have a clear coat falure on you wheels

      Hi Randy,

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

I assume by the year of your Chevy truck that the aluminum wheels have clouded-over in spots? I have seen that happen on quite a few Chevy/GMC's. The best advice is to take the wheels to a refinishing shop and have them refinished. If they have clouded, no form of polishing will remove the damage.
