I think the label said 90 degree water. I wash mine in warm (100 deg) with Tide (TWO rinses) and I haven't had any problems. I don't use the one with bleach alternative since I'm not sure if sodium percarbonate (one bleach alternative base compound for things like OxyClean) has the same effect as regular bleach, which IIRC is sodium hypochlorite.

I'm thinking of switching to something like Dreft (cheaper than Woolite) since it is clean rinsing.

I sometimes dry mine all the way on low (delicate), sometimes dry them to light dampness and let them air dry. I'm more lazy than not, so I normally go with the full dry.

I use Cheer Free & Gentle (No dyes, or perfume)

      I wash hot/cold w/extra rinse

I spray APC on the really bad stains, and they still look good.

I used Woolite before, and for the cost I didn't see of feel any difference.

Always cut the labels off of any towels/thing that's going to come incontact with your finish.
Never argue with an Idiot.. They'll only drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience..

I read somewhere to refrain from drying the MF on Hot.

Something about the strands or fibers can actually heat up enough that they would almost bond to each other and thus reduce their cleaning ability. The website said since the MFs hold heat pretty well to start the dryer on the low temp setting and then after a few minutes switch it over to air fluff.

The MF s by that time have picked up a little bit of heat and will retain most of it until dry.

It kind of makes sense I guess. Did to me anyway. I do it. When first starting I dried on high heat. Do I notice a difference now that I have switched? No. But this might be a cumulative sort of thing and gradually lessens their performance over the long haul.

For washing, I spot treat heavily soiled areas with APC. Then I throw them into a grit guard bucket with a dawn/water mixture. When the bucket is full I just dump the whole bucket in the washer and wash with no addition soap for one cycle. Then I wash in cold with Woolite. Then wash again with no soap and 1 Cup Distilled White Vinegar.

This works well for me and I have about 20 white Ultimate wipes (They are White) that I have been using pretty heavily for months and they are all a very bright white with no stains.

So my current method works well for me until I try something else.
