Hello - I was reviewing your post on the plastic sheet staining your car paint and wanted to see if you ever found a sloution. Unfortunately, I have the exact same problem after my Dad covered my car during a rain.

Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

I am wondering if it is trapped moisture. I wonder what effect a blow dryer, from a safe distance, would have. I not recommending it. Just curious.

Find a detailer in your area that is skilled enough to sand the paintwork.

What do you mean by "sand"? Do you mean work with clay or literally sand the finish? I would think true sanding would require painting the area again afterwards.

I have yet to find a solution for this and am "living" with the damage right now. It ***** too!!

Yup! Automotive-grade sandpaper at about 1500 grit followed by 2000 grit should alleviate your headache. Speak to Mike Phillips about this. He should either be able to help you or refer you to someone who can. You'll need a professional for this. I'd like to help but I'm quite a distance across the ocean!

Thanks guys. I'll try to find someone who can do this. Does the area require a shot of clear coat afterwards?
