applying NXT twice, will give a better coverage ensure protection all around

From a protection point of view, the protecting ingredients used in NXT Tech Wax are better than the protecting ingredients in M16

A lot of people like the gloss and look the M16 creates when applied by itself or when used as a topper over products like NXT Tech Wax.

In the end, each person needs to try for themselves the waxes they're interested in and then check out the results in order to determine what looks best in their eyes on their car's finish.

Here's a link on topping NXT, but the guidelines outlined in this how-to article would apply to topping any first coat of wax with any other second coat of a different wax.

      Topping NXT or other products

Also, regardless of the combination you use, two thin coats of wax, properly applied, allowed to dry and then removed are always better than one coat of wax as two coats of wax insures uniform coverage which means uniform protection as well as a uniform appearance.

That's the idea behind the practice of topping, to apply one type of wax and then removing it to apply a different wax for either a different appearance or more protection.

reading your how to thread, i noticed you said 2 applications of NXT, then the topper...

i meant as in one layer of NXT, then teh 2nd layer will be another wax

So NXT is better in the durability column compared to #16? I never knew that! I thought #16 rivaled durable carnauba products such as Collinite.

Even though NXT is not necessarily "Carnauba," I still find that hard to believe.

Oh well, looks like I need to get my hands on some NXT pretty soon!

                or the other way aorund?

                    Hi m8

So 2 coats of NXT is better protect than 1 coat of each???
                    (NXT and #16 wax)

I have an ST170 Focus in pearlescent blue/purple. (Imperial Blue)

In the sun it chances colour but after using NXT and #16 wax it stays more blue then purple.
Would NXT help it change again??

                    Thanks

best have a play around and see how you like the color best

all i was saying is, its worth the effort to put 2 thin coats of nxt on to be sure you have even coverage ...then try 16 see how it looks, you could do one door and compare how it looks for awhile
