  • Question about WASHING and WAXING

Yesterday, I only had time to buff the trunk and hood of my car but i left the compound swirls. What wax is best to take out the compound swirls. Also when I wax, what products do i need for an everyday driver and what products do I use for that detailed look that i dont have to do every week? Right now I just been using the conditioner, clay bar, scratch x and the gold class clear coat liquid car wax. Are these products ok? if not, what do i need?

    THANKS

    Thanks for the help.

Wax isn't designed to remove compound swirls, in most cases if you're using the Meguiar's line of products you would use a cleaner/polish like M83 or M80 with a polishing pad. How well this works is kind of dependent upon the compound you're using as some non-Meguiar's compounds can be pretty aggressive and leave some really deep swirls.

The products you're using are good, for a daily drive you might look into our Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax, and for touch-ups in-between normal washing and waxing, you might look into one of our spray waxes.
