Product Question

Let me begin by saying I have learned a great about keeping by vehicles looking their best from this forum!!

I convinced Santa to get me a DA for X-mas and have been very pleased with the product and results. Hand polishing has become a thing of the past (except for hard to reach areas).

Anyway, I have a question about NXT Tech Protectant (Vinyl, Rubber, Plastic).

I have been using this product on the exterior trim of my truck and on the tonno cover. However, when it rains, the product "smears" and runs. Am I applying the product to "thickly"? Or should I be using something else for the exerior trim.

Glad to hear you PC is working well for you, once you have one there is no going back to applying by hand!



I use the same thing on my bed cover (Tech Protectant) and have a similar problem after a rain.

This might be a useful tip.... To apply, I spray the NXT Tech Protectant on the towel and wipe in, then go over with another clean/dry towel to even out the look and remove any extra product. Not sure this really helps with rain but it evens out the look.

I use #40 on my tonneau cover and do not have that problem!

I dont think Nxt Tech Protctant is really desinged for lasting very long on exterior surfaces.

I think you would want to look into something like #40 that was mentioned, or Hyper Dressing, All Season Dressing, etc.

You may also find some protectants for canvas/vinyl in the Marine line of products. I believe there are new cleaner and protectant products in that line now.

I will look into Hyper Dressing, All Season Dressing, and the #40.

In the interim, I will spray lightly and wipe!!
