  • Product Performance/Differences (Help Needed)

Hello Everyone, I would like to take this time to introduce myself and also post a couple of questions.

First I own a black Suburban that has been neglected over the years, it't not in too bad a shape the only problem that it imposes are the swirls in the clearcoat/paint. I was wondering what my plan of attack should be. I own a Porter Cable and would like to know wheither I should use Speed Glaze #80, or #82, or #83 or maybe a combination of the three? Also what are the major differences among the three products.

Second Can using a Sealant like #20 followed by the good ol' #26 topped of with Nxt Tech wax prevent these swirls from reappearing? Or should I use Nxt and then top it with #26. Sorry for all the Q's the help is gladly appreciated.

    Hi Mejia,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online,

I think if you read the below two threads, you'll find the products and the information you need to remove the swirls, restore a show room new finish and then how to maintain these results...

Although the topic of the below thread is how to take care of a new car, the same products and principals apply for taking care of a restored finish.

Also, I'm not sure where you're located in California, but tomorrow morning starting at 8:00am we have a detailing class where we'll cover all the things you want to learn. It's not to late to sign-up and there's still room for you.

      Thanks

Hey Mike thanks for the info. I really appreciate the timely response and help. Thanks again. Sorry I couldn't sign up for that class, I usually work weekends. Where can I see the schedule for upcoming classes?

Yes read article on removing swirls first. i never put a carnuba base wax (#26) down before a sealant(nxt,#20).Sealant followed by #26 or even gold class is awsome. For even more reflections layer one of meguiars pure polishes before lsps.
