  • Newbie>>Hi from South Africa

    Hi Guys

As my subject says, well I have a few questions for you guys...

Meguiar's has only recently been introduced to South Africa, think its been 5 years or so. So the products are kinda new to most people here, but been the passionate person I am with regards to detailing of my own car, I have choosen to go the Meguiars route.

Im about to embark on a business here in South Africa, nothing major, just weekend detailing for passionate owners cars like myself, I will be meeting with a reprensentive of the company that imports Meguiars products in south africa, before I go on further I must say that I have personally not used many of the products available, but judging of , motor shows etc that I have watched on, TV, Meguiars is the was to go...

just a few questions that I have for the more "advanced" users of meguiars products...

    1. with regards to the paint work...to obtain the prefect shine, what are the process / products used?

    2. does meguiares offer any products to remove swirl marks?

    3. I don't have any experince with polishers / buffers, what type of buffers / polishers does meguiars recommend? are there special pads that needed for each type of wax / polish?

    4. any product to remove light scarthes?

5.what the best process to achieve the best shine?

    6. is there a lazing product?

    7. Any advise for me?

Guys, sorry if I seemed to pile up the questions, but any assistance in the above will be much apperciated!

Well, the easiest thing to do is going to be giving you some reading material, because it will answer most of your questions, and probably spark a few new ones.

Keeping in mind of course I am not sure if every Meguiars products is available there, or most, etc...

Yeah, seems like lots of reading, but it goes fast... theres probably some things even left out of all those links.. But learn what you can from reading and you will already know more than most people.

Hmm.. it doesnt really say... But it would be along these lines...

            2. Clay - Quick Clay (Now Smooth Surface CLay)
            3. Clean - ScratchX to remove swirls
            4. Polish - Deep Crytal System #2 Polish
            5. Wax - Nxt Tech Wax

            If working by G-100

            1. Wash - Gold Class or Nxt
            2. Clay - Quick Clay ( Now Smooth Surface Clay)
            3. Clean/Polish - #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish applied with #8006 Foam Pad
