  • Slight swirls and light scratches? :o(

Hi, firstly i am a big meguiars fan but recently i have noticed my car looking abit shabby. In direct sunlight i can see alot of swirls and very fine scratches? I currently use the meguiars wash mitt (Could this be causing it? Does it trap and spread dirt?) And the NXT range. Is there a better product to use to wash the car (Mitts/sponge wise?)

Now, i really would like to get rid of the above problems.

Any ideas how to go about it? e.g. step-by-step. My car is 1 year old and is metallic black.

    Please Help!

    Many Thanks

    Dan

Well, to a certain extent yes, good wash mitts will trap dirt. The idea is that they will hold the dirt away from paint, and then you will rinse them every so often to getthe dirt out. Washing with the 2 - bucket system, and using Grit Guards are all good ways to keep from getting swirls during washing. Here is a link to read:

Now as far as dealing with swirls and scratches, you will want to read these couple links to get a good idea of everything. You are working by hand I take it?
