  • Using APC

Hi guys. I have been lurking for the longest and have learned a lot, but I still have some questions. I have a day job so I am detailing my own cars as a hobby, and don't have any special training.

Now to the question. Can someone like me use APC (at the correct dilution levels) without worrying about damaging anything? I plan to use it on wheel wells, exterior trim, and on anything in the interior that needs it. Is it wipe on/wipe off, or do I need to "rinse" after using it?

    Thanks everyone!

I would certainly rinse off any interior surfaces plastic/vinyl, etc with a damp cloth.

Exterior, you would just want to do a rinse off with the hose.

Now, as far as wipe/on wipe off, you may need to let it sit for a few seconds to sink in to thick dirt.

Murr1525, thanks. You have confirmed what I have been thinking. I just wanted to be sure how to use the product before it gets here. Now, if I could just be in Dallas this weekend!

      Thanks again,

      Chris

Remember the APC is going to remove any wax, or other interior protectant. You will certainly want to re-wax (or better yet, use it before you wax) anwhere outside, or re-protect any interior surfaces you use it on.

Dressing exterior plastic would be good as well after using cleaners.
