  • Mobile cleaning

    Hi

So If I will do mobile cleaning, what do I have really need in my car.
Does some people have water with them, f as you clean a car at someones work?
    Maybe some tips for me?

    Kind regards bert

That question is best answered by what service you intend to offer and the level of your existing skill .
It is easy to get over board and carry stuff you will not use frequently if ever .List your needs base on the service you intend to offer. Example what do I need to WASH/VACUUM/POLISH etc.

If your service involves restoring defects then obviously you will need more than if you are doing maintenace on fairly new cars.

Richard(Octane Guy) uses his Mini and fits quite a bit in it and produces great work . Take a look at his post he has a picture there of his mini loaded . Goes to show you dont necessary need a large van.

If you go to a persons work you most times will need to have water. In addition to which you may need to recalim that water.

        Hope this tid bit helped.
        Best regards

          Welcome to MOL Dunamis
but der passat i think you can fit most of the products into the meguiars 12oz bottles .. easy to store and easy to use on the car so you can carry almost everything you own

            Thanks for the plug.

            Here is MY rig:

There are 2 things missing from this picture that I've since added.

Two important things to note. I drive this car fast, and I like to drive it safely. That means I must have an unobstructed view to the rear and to the sides and nothing can fly around as I corner. My rear seats are folded down, and every nook and cranny is filled. I have 75 feet of extension cords in the footwell in the rear.

            This is my Mobile Kit

            This workhorse scaffold

            and my new vertical light

Here's another shot of my MINI with the light

This is what my rig looks like now. I've got the vertical light and the scaffold.

Can you believe everything here came out of my MINI? Yep, that's a 10foot x 10foot EZ UP

For comparison sakes, you can see what my tools looked like when I first started detailing. Things were very simple here.

This is what was inside that backpack

My advice to you is start with the minimum tools to get the job done. Add to your toolkit as you need them. I'm able to use my MINI because I don't have to carry a water tank (though I do have a small 2 gallon pressurized tank), and I don't need a generator for portable power--although I'm planning on purchasing a 2000watt power invertor and another car battery so I can do some mobile polishing. To me that's much more valuable than carrying water---for my business anyways.

thanks for the information! I didn't know that the mini is a SUV?!
So great, so many stuff in a small car, and i'm thinking if I have enough space in my passat variant
I'll take pictures of it soon with all my stuff in the trunk.

Thank you a lot for all your help
