  • Ultimate combination for car colour

Hi everybody, just finished reading many posts

on this forum and I am now fully aware of steps and procedures

Although I live in the uk, I have found an online store that will ship to me,

with good postal costs, so obtaining the "professional" range of products

will not be a problem for me.

I will in the future purchase a PC, but for now, all work will be carried out by hand

I have provided a picture of my car, purely so that you can see the colour,

hopefully this will help with any information some kind gent may offer

Basically what I would like to know, as subject states, best combination of products for this colour.

I have come up with some ideas myself, but for sure would like some advice ......

    NXT Car Wash
    Quick clay system
    Deep crystal Paint Cleaner
    #7
    #21
    ----------------------------------
#20 use after wash as a booster
    ----------------------------------
    Gold Class trim detailer
    ----------------------------------
    #40 inside car
    ----------------------------------
    All metal polish on wheels

    Thanking you in anticipation ..

      Hey Bruce,

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

      Ijust love that colour blue!!

I suggest that if you are doing it by hand, for now, to use ScratchX to remove any swirls. Follow this with Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover, then #7 Show Car Glaze. Top with 2 coats of #21 Synthetic Sealant.

      So, by hand:

      ScratchX
      #9
      #7
      #21 x 2

      Or....

      With a PC...

      #80 Speed Glaze
#82 Swirl Free Polish or #9
      #81 Hand Polish or #7
#21 or #20 Polymer Sealant topped with #26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax.

Either of the above combos will make that blue look dripping wet!

      Cheers!

          Hi Bruce,

I have 3 rotaries and 2 PC's. Moreover, I have been using a rotary buffer for close to 17 years and a PC since it first came out!

I firmly believe that without a doubt, a machine can produce a finish that can not be matched by hand. Using a PC will take your finish to the next level, IMHO!

              Hey Rudemood,

For removing swirls, yes, ScratchX is more aggressive and will do a better job. But like I said in the post, use the ScratchX to remove the swirls. Then the #9 which will further refine the finish by adding more richness and depth, IMHO.
