  • interior and tires

I was wondering what would be the best for a nice interior, and nice tires. I just bought nxt insane shine but havn't tried it yet, and #20 vinyl and rubber cleaner protector.

    Thanks,

Well, I would certainly try what you got first...

Personaly, I use the Nxt Interior Protectant on my interior plastic/vinyl trim. (Dark Grey Interior, Subaru Legacy)

I then also use the Interior Detailer for dusting in between applications of protectant.

For tires, I have been using another companies product, but have a Nxt Insane Shine spray on the way, and am looking forward to trying it out. I hope it is better than what I have been using, cause I would love the shine, with no sling.

Dont forget nice wheels and wheelwells as well...

I'm assuming you mean #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner (#20 is Polymer Sealant).

I love #40, it's been a favorite of mine for many years. It leaves interiors with a clean, natural look. I'm not one for shiny interiors, I prefer a low gloss sheen.

I like #40 on tires too (since I'm not a fan of highly glossy tires).

I couldn't agree more, with The Other PC, on the #40. Its my favorite product for both interior and tires.

However, be aware of the #40 chemical smell. Some love and others can't stand it.

I should mention that when I apply the Nxt Protectant, I apply it around the car, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I come back and buff off excess.. leaves a nice dark look with no shine.

But different plastics will react differently, so see how you do with what you got. You can apply it and leave it, or apply and buff off. See if you like it, then see if you want to try anything else.

This thread could be interesting for you ...

If you feel like spendin a little bit you may wanna look into hyper dressing I found it extremely versatile dash adn plastic i use at 3:1 and tires I use at 1:1 I love it it has a little gloss inside to it but works nicely since it doesnt have much uv protection to it. I use the vinyl and rubber protectant for the uv protection aspect then will layer the 3:1 ontop and I use interior detailer in between for quick touch ups. I would post pic but car is in shop. Greg

For interior vinyl and for my engine bay plastics and hoses, I prefer Meguiar's Natural Shine. It looks awesome and the light scent is great.

For tires, I am nuts about Meguiar's Endurance High gloss tire gel. Applied with a dedicated foam tire applicator, it just looks awesome.

I've ditched the Insane Shine for the time being and went to Hyper Dressing for my tires. I absolutely love this stuff. I like not having to be controlled by the wide spread Aersol spray. Hyperdressing 2:1 is what I use for my tires, I've yet to try 1:1.

I also REALLY like the Interior Dash FOAM. I dont see it many places, but I gave it a shot, and it smells very clean, and does not leave behind an oily resdue, while giving a nice factory finish sheen.
