  • Storing Diluted Solutions

It seems like one can take something like APC, or Hyper Dressing, etc, and dilute itto the ratio desired, and then store it for a pretty long time pre-mixed.

But can the same be done with something like soaps, like Shampoo Plus, or will it break down the ability in any way?

I got a foam gun, and am wondering what to with product left in the jug, such as just leave it in there till the next wash.

    Thanks guys...

    Hey Murr,
I have a small foam gun for my power washer and I usually just fill it up with straight shampoo, then store it away, until I wash my car again. I don't usually go months without using it, so I haven't had any problems so far.

I go through a lot of Shampoo that way, but it gives really thick foam.

Yeah, I watered mine down... looked a little thick for the tube, but maybe it would have worked. This is just a hose end, so the lower pressure might need it to not be as thick as well. I dunno.

I think I will need to thicken it up a bit at least before actualy washing. I just kind of sprayed on, hosed off real quick to make sure it worked.

      Thanks Tom

Have you guys had any experience between the Shampoo Plus and the Hyper-Wash?

I picked the Shampoo Plus since it sounded close to Gold Class, which is a good thing.

It seems like Gold Class and Nxt would work, just figuring buying in bulk is better.... And the Hyper-Wash likes higher dilution rates, which might make it easier to use in a Foam Gun. Seems like it is kind of easy to get over that 1:128 ratio if I have to dilute at all in the jug, but should stay near/below 1:400.

Though with the Hyper-Wash costing more, maybe I dont want to go through lots of it.

          Hey Murr,
I have both the Hyper Wash and the Shampoo plus and they are both very good products, not sure I follow the dilution ratio's very well they way I have been filling up the foam gun. I've been to lazy to fill up a jug with the proper solutions, but I may have too since I am using a lot of Shampoo. Thick foam in the winter time with all the crud on the car works great though as the dirt and road grime kind of just melt away.

I like Hyper Wash for vehicles I am going to be claying and/or polishing and I use Shampoo Plus for just washes since it seems to have some added gloss to it.
