  • Hyper Dressing Issues..

Hey guys, I've searched plenty of times on here and found on the basic information about diluting Hyper Dressing.

I went to local hardware store and bought a spray bottle that had the diluting ratios and lines for ounces. now it said on the bottle for 1:1, fill to here. I know that this isn't the professional bottles that Meguiars has to offer, but is this dilutiong ratio of 1:1 on the bottle correct for HD??

I tried it out and it didn't work anything like I had seen in pictures on here. The product seemed to not be working at all. I'd spray it on a MF then apply to the plastic parts of the engine? It would look very streaky and some places looked dull?

What is the proper technique for applying Hyper Dressing? Also, any help with the diluting issues, would be greatly appreciation! I'm trying to get around from ordering just the hyperr dressing bottle from ads!

I understand that part. It just didn't seem to work like I had expected when I mixed it together in my spray bottle using the 1:1 ratio lines.

i guess i'll just **** it up and deal with ordering the bottles from ads. i don't wnat to continue to waste product.

I too had a problem with hyper dresing when i first got it now i cant stop using it the way you are dilluting should be fine. I think the problem may be the way you are applying it seemed to bead up on my tires and wouldnt work on much i tried. What i do is spray let almost dry then hit with a foam applicator then even out with a mf. For places were u wouldnt wanna just spray away (dash try to get a film with it on dash ddont worry about streaks let almost dry then wipe with the mf. Hope that helps. Any more ?'s. Greg

yeah, i figure that all bottles that have the markings for 1:1 ratio have to be close to the same. which is why i just bought it from the local hardware store.

anyway, first i tried to spra it on, HD just flew every where as it was more of a straight line then a spray. then i tried to spray it moist to a MF towel and apply. seemed to work on some parts but not on the main plastic valve cover.

i hope i can figure this product out cause i hope for it to be a good 1 in my aresonal!

I like to use HD on my engine bay, as its very durable, and looks fantastic on all the plastics! I mix mine at 2:1, I will eye ball it most of the time. I spray on, let it sit, and use a MF to wipe the excess down.
