Don't use dish washing liquid. It is not good for your paint and trim. Go instead with Gold Class car shampoo or NXT Tech wash shampoo. Most people prefer gold class but I use NXT.
Since your Titan is new, you shouldn't need much prep unless the dealer really messed up your paint by instilling swirls. Check for roughness in the paint from rail dust during transportation from factory to holding yard. If it is rough, then you can buy a Meg's clay bar kit (the one with the quick detail spray). After that, go for a mild polish like #82 swirl-free polish to remove any minor swirls and marring from the clay. After that, apply your favourite wax. I prefer sealants and I use #21 myself.

First thing is to read and understand, and somewhat memorize these two links. They are pretty much required reading... And then definately ask away with more questions after that.

Sounds like you picked up a great line up of products to get started with. I am shocked that you were able to find the Meguiar's Clay Kit because I have never been able to find that here in town. I always have to order that or just settle for the Mother's kit which they carry at the stores in town.Trent W.

Well, lets just walk through those steps...
1. Wash - Gold Class would be good.
2. Clay - SS Clay kit
3. Clean - You'll probably want bot hDC#1 for light overall cleaning, and ScratchX for swirled/scratched spots.
4. Polish - DC#2 is easy to use, but #7 Show Car Glaze might give a deeper look.
5. Wax - Nxt wax will give better durability, but Gold Class may again look a little deeper.
You can of course use any of the tire products, glass cleaner, etc.
You'll want to use the QD after washing, esp if you use Nxt to restore gloss.
What sort of trim detailer was it? Like a spray foam, or a bottle of liquid? I like the bottle of liquid.
What you can do is put a coat of Trim Detailer on your trim, then wax, then buff off wax, then remove excess trim detailer.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Hey,
For exterior trim, you can go a couple of ways:
Meguiar's Exterior Trim Detailer which will leave the plastic trim very glossy and rich looking
NEW Exterior Trim Detailer
Or....
You can use Meguiar's All Season Dressing which will also give you that deep rich look, just not quite a glossy.
All Season Dressing
My personal favorite is the All Season Dressing. Apply it fairly heavy with a foam applicator, and then allow it to sit for a good 5-7 minutes and then thoroughly wipe down with a dedicated microfiber towel. The MF towel IMHO works much better than a cotton towel.
Give either of the above a try and you will be really happy!

Well, as Mike has said, if you want your car/truck to look freshly waxed, it must be freshly waxed.
But using Gold Class wash is a great wash that leaves a nice finish behind, and use the Spray Wax or QD after washing ot restore any lost gloss, slickness, etc.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue
