CAN I USE HARD WATER SPOT REMOVER # M4716 ON MY CARS PAINT AND WINDOWS
Welcome to Meguiar's Online!
I've been told that M47 Hard Water Spot Remover was never formulated for, or tested for use on automotive paints.
That said, I've used it on the factory clear coat on our black Pilot and removed Type I water spots.
Type II water spots are actually etchings that are in the paint, not mineral deposits on the paint and in order to remove these types of water spots/etchings you must remove the paint around them until the surface is level again.
