  • #26 on dark green. Any good?

I'm in the process in ordering some wax and this is the only quality wax I cand get around here. It's a bit expensive so hoping will make up for that. Read numerous views around here but not fully set on it. Can you help me decide?

Also a picture would worth a 1000 words (if it's dark green the better).

I have and currently use #26 on my truck and I love the results. I tend though to go back and forth between the many Meguiar's waxes just to see different results and durability. Though I would highly say that #26 is a great wax on the darker vehicles with a very easy application and removal. Here are some pictures of it on my truck. Not sure though if you would say this is dark green but it should be close.

      Wow that was quick thanks
Yes, my color is somewhat similar to that and it looks very good with #26 on it to me.

Another question: can #26 be used over #20 Polymer Sealant?

I myself have yet to use #20 but from what I have read on the site I certainly don't see any problems from doing that and I would say that you would have great results with that combo. Hopefully there is someone out there that has used this mix and will chime in here.

          Hi ToniPieleanu,

M26 is a great wax if you're applying it to a finish in excellent condition, it has no cleaning ability so it's really only for new cars or cars with paint that has been previously cleaned and polished.

It's truly a show car wax in that as long as the finish has been prepared before application it will create a very clear, high gloss finish. M26 is a great wax for dark colored cars and I would put it up against all of the high priced boutique waxes that sell for a lot more and you won't be able to tell a difference, for example the Zymol waxes, or the Pinnacle waxes, or the Trade Secret, or Swissol, etc.

Two thin coats, allowed to dry till they swipe clear and you're good to go....

Yes. This is a common/popular combintion I've used myself.
