removed bra and white paint looks yellowed please help!

My daughter just got her first car 97 cavalier great condition bright white with spolier
the orig. owner had a bra on front . but now that its off two foot of hood and front bumper has yellowed in the shape of the bra.
you would think it would be the brightest white from sun protection and weather. is it just dirt, it doesn't wash off with water. please help. she was so excited about getting this car, and she saved her money!
p.s. I have searched the forums but can someone address mine pacificly, im reading the products on the product site. but I need someone to hold our hand.

Was it like a fabric bra, or one of the clear/stick on types?

The first thing you should do is follow the basic 5-step procedure, and see what the outcome is.

Here it is basicaly:

1. Wash - Use a quality wash, like Gold Class, or Nxt, etc.

2. Clay - Clay the car, esp the front, with Meguiars Quick Clay or Smooth Surface Clay. Clay Magic brand is an ok second option.

3. Clean - You are going to need a paint cleaner. You can try something mild like Deep Crystal System #1, or something more agresive like ScratchX.

4. Polish - Deep Crystal System #2 is a good polish by hand.

5. Wax - Nxt wax, Gold Class, Or #26 are all good waxes to try out. Or even DC#3.

Basicaly, do steps 1-4, and see if it puts a dent in the discoloration. If it works, great, I think it will.. if not, we can try to move beyond the basics.

the pics are just to small for you to see and it was a vinyl cover on frontwith a soft backing.
Can all these Meguiars products I need so far be found at a dept. store and auto parts

Well, Gold Class or Nxt wash should be availabe anywhere.. and DC#1,2,3 will be at any Advance Auto, Autozone type store.

Meguiars Clays often need ordered, and can be hard to find in stores. Autozone seems to have Clay Magic, at least in my area. Not a big Mothers Clay fan.. but if you have no other choice, and want to try it.

If i was you i would try a dedicated paint cleaner clear coat bbody scrub deep crystal 1 the strongest being scratch x. If u have a porter cable you could in least aggressive to strongest 82 80 83. Scratch x will probably be available over the counter were u live almost any car part store. Hope that helps. Greg.

Can these products be used with a 10 inch orbital buffer and if so what type of pad or should it all be done by hand and also do i just press the clay down and then peal it up . I know theres instruction out here somewhere.
