  • Problem with Cleaner Wax

    Hello,

I've just purchased myself a tin of Meguiars cleaner wax after reading good things about it.

After getting it home I unscrewed the cap off to find a very hard and dry creamy coloured substance inside.

What I want to know is, has it dried out or is that hows its supposed to be?

My past experiences with polishes they have been quite pasty.

SHould I take it back or can I use something to add a bit more moisture back in?

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Meguias waxes are often a fairly solid consitency. I have not used the cleaner/wax in the paste, but that sounds about right.

I am not quite sure what you mean about pasty polishes... Like soft and gooey?

Either way, if you are concerned, there is a liquid version you can also try.

      He Jeremy,

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

      This doesn't sound right?

I can take a picture of what the normal appearacne of a can of our cleaner/wax looks like and post it tomorrow for you to look at.

You could take it back to where you bought it and show someone in authority and then perhaps have them open a few other cans off the shelf and compare them.

If they all start looking the same then it's either normal, or there is something wrong with all of them?

Get the idea? Kind of some simple trouble shooting.

        Thanks for the feedback.

Murr1525, yes soft and gooey. The polish I just bought is not like this.

Mike, Fairly certain there is problem with this particular tin. Going to take it back when I get some time next weekend. Just wanted to check with the experts and make sure.

Post a pic by all means, I can take a pic and post it also.

        Thanks,
        Jeremy
