  • Whice One do i get

I'm in Australia and unfortunately they don't sell the Meg's Polisher here. So i'm looking at a Makita one. I've seen 2 that they sell but don't know which one to get. I am an amateur and don't want to damage my paint.

    So here's the link:

The 9227CB is an excellent machine and very popular with professionals and serious enthusiats. It’s a rotary buffer. In the hands of a skilled operator it can do a great deal of work very quickly. In the hands of an unskilled operator it can damage or destroy a finish equally quickly.

The BO6040 is a dual-action type orbital buffer. It's similar to the Meguiar’s G-100. It’s very gentle and while it won’t remove defects as quickly as a rotary it’s very safe to use. It also has a forced orbit mode that's sort of in between the rotary and orbital in terms of aggressiveness.

For a beginner I would definitely recommend the orbital over a rotary.
