  • multiple ingredients in waxes

hi there. surfing the meguiars web site, i learned that a number of products have mutliple ingreditents. for eg, clearner wax contains cleaning chemicals, polishig oils and waxes, polymers, resins and silicons.

how effective are such mutliple ingredient products that accomplish multiple speciality tasks ?

how do products that contain both waxes and polymers bond together and finally on to the painted surface ?

      Welcome

Well, even something like a cleaner only product, or pure polish, or wax has a variety of ingrediants.

On the other hand, there are products like cleaner/waxes that cover multiple steps.

For the most part, single step products will almost always be more effective then multi-step products. A wax like Nxt or Gold Class will generaly last longer and look better than a wax in a cleaner/wax.

Cleaner/waxes have their place though, and ColorX is one of my favorite products. It is a great way to clean/polish/wax your car quickly if you are in a hurry, and will remove minor swirling.

For your last question, I have no idea, but it sure works.
