I was in the Autozone parking lot and a maroon Civic rear ends my bumper I need a new bumper.. and the reason I went was to get a 15amp fuse.. I guess **** happens for a reason..

bummer man.... Hope the other person is going to pay for it! Looks like you have a nice coat of wax on it, water is beading up on the sides.

You could probably minimize the "ugly" look. I would guess the dent would pop out. Then maybe some ScratchX to remove the paint transfer. but if its going to get fixed I would wait.

gb387 can u see the pic or is there something wrong wiht my computer..... i woukd actually use DC1 with a terry it did a perfect job on my silver accords mirror i removed this wierd dark blue paint transfer

Yeah I had some Klasse AIO, Klasse SG x2 and some Poorboy's Nattys Blue on that lol..

insurance is paying $1000 to fix bumper + 1/4 panel...

Sorry, but that can not be buffed out, I am quite sure.

Here is a thread I made where I was actually explaining some of the issues of wet sanding. I pounded out one of composite panels and used it for the write-up

That material on the bumper is really really tough stuff how did you pound yours out? Do I needa take off my rear bumper to pound it off?

i think i would recomend against trying this... if they found out you tried something on you're own they might not pay out $1000 should pay for a new bumper on an integera +painting the bumper and 1/4 panel

The author, Show Car Garage, nor Meguiar’s Online advocates the wet sanding of a paint finish unless completed by a Professional; it is extremely difficult.

i'm taking the guess that your not a pro and its looks super easy to mess up on!

I will just leave it to the pro's, I have a few estimates for $800.00 and the insurance is paying $1000 based on there estimates. I will take it in for service in about a week, i can't wax the fresh paint for how long?

30-90 days id go for 90 to be safe and you can use #80 for protection the whole time
