Im prepping to do a 5 step detail on my car which i have never done before. So the question i ask is...do you think i should do two coats of everything except claying??...this includes dc cleaner, dc polish, nxt tech wax??
I don't think its necessary to have 2 coats of everything, so... clay, deep crystal paint cleaner and deep crystal polish once is enough but I would put 2 coats of wax on. Just my .02.
For cleaning or compounding the surface, if the surface still has swirls etc, you may need to do 2 or more applications depending on the severity of the marring etc.
For polishing the surface with a pure polish like #7, #81 etc, one coat is enough.
For the LSP (Last Step Product), you should apply 2 coats to ensure uniform coverage.
