  • Help b4 I start

Noticed today on a small section I did that I did today. washed entire truck with nxt wash, then clay, then wash again. used m83 on small spot and its leaving a sort of haze. Lost my sunlight so I'll try again tommorrow. Not all the swirls are gone I am doing about a 1' square. in a 3 direction pass. wiping it b4 it dries then did it again, using 50% overlapping. Could M83 be too strong I do have M80 I will try that tommorrow. Could I be moving to fast? yes I know you guyz need pics Im workin on that too.

    Things that I have
    G100a
    3 8006 yellow pads

    Hey,

Meguiar's M83 is a somewhat aggressive product that can leave a haze on darker colors. Usually after using M83 you need to step down to something less aggressive such as M80 Speed Glaze or M82 Swirl Free Polish. In either case, you need to use a dedicated pad for each product.

If your F350 is dark, as in your avatar, I would suggest using M80 with a clean W-8006 Polishing pad and the PC set to speed 5. You need to work the product thoroughly over a 2'x2' area until is only a slight residue. Then remove with a clean, high quality microfiber towel.

Follow the M80 with either 2 coats of NXT Tech Wax or M21. Apply with the clean W-9006 Finishing Pad with the PC set to speed 3. Allow the product to set up, approx. 15 minutes. Then remove. I suggest using a microfiber bonnet over a clean, dry W-8006 pad. Set the PC to speed 5 for removal.

Give the above a try. I am quite sure you will be very pleased!!

    By the way...cool truck!!!

Well after I went to the filling station, I can clearly see what I did wrong, First off lighting is IMPORTANT, gas station lights point out some nice flaws. Anyways the light clearly pointed out I did not spend enough time with the product. There are still some swirls and hazing and some really shiny spots So in short slow down, smaller area, even pressure, Thanks guyz new you would help. lol

Remember to allow for the diminishing abraisives to break down. That is, the product needs to be worked in until it's magic is done. Don't let it go to a dry buff, then remove.

No I didnt work it till it was dry. It was still very wet when I removed it. But I do believe I only worked it for about 30 secs. Which I now believe was not long enough. I will try again tommorrow then follow with a application of M80.

Yes, its good to move your pad slowly, perhaps around one inch per second.

I'd really like to see a full swirl removal demonstration video. Just one section. The amount of time they spend on that section, the amount of product they use, and how large of an area they cover. Reading is good, but sometimes seeing helps more.
