What does it mean apply 2 coat. Do we apply 1 coat of wx lets say NXT and then remove it and then re apply another one?

wipe it then leave it alone or else you will disrupt the polymers

          Hey adcha1

          Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

In the ideal world, it is recommended that you allow at least overnight before adding the second coat of product as this will allow the product to set up properly. However, sometimes with time constraints, you may have to apply it sooner.

            *making an edit here

Place first coat of wax down. Wipe the finish clean with a microfiber cloth. Repeat after letting the wax set up over a number of hours.

Well.. let me try and lay it out...

              1. Wash
              2. Clay
              3. Clean
              4. Polish
              5. Wax - Spread first coat of wax. Then after it has hazed over, remove with a MF cloth.

              6. Wax - Once previous coat is removed, wait as long as possible. 12 hours is best, but try for at least 20 minutes. The goal is to give as much setup time as possible, before applying the next layer.

No. Just to clarify...that means that after you have applied and removed the first coat, that you allow the car to sit overnight before applying and removing the second coat.

I hope that clarifies things a little better,

Oops, seems I kinda got my message tied up in language. What I thought he meant was to put a layer of wax on, then strip it all off (by dawn, clay, etc) then rewax.

So then would you be wise to let the second coat sit for say about 12 hours as well to settle before you use any other products on the surface such as the QD?? Or are you able to do anything you want pretty much after the second coat is applied as it is not required to "set" as the first coat was?

It is still a good idea to let the 2nd coat sit as long as possible.
