well today we had a very nice day of like 56 degrees. i chose to wash my truck today. I have no garage what so ever or no sorce of shade in my driveway. is there something they make that doesn't cost 700 bucks that i can use? it is pretty much impossible to wash a black truck in direct sunlight. i started to wash one side of it and i just got mad and quit.

"I feel your paint" err... I mean... I feel your pain....

A couple of years ago we purchased an EZ-UP Canopy at Costco for $200.00, this is the nice full size model with three side curtains.

It's not perfect but I've used it for this in the past, of course the larger and taller the vehicle the less well it works.

I too have the same exact thing. I dont use it because I now have a car port, but its easily wide enough for a car, just make sure you can anchor it into the ground. We lost our during a tropical storm.

I have two of these I use when space permits.

One is used here because two would not fit.

They are 8x12. Two together gives me 12x16 area to work under.

They cost $390 each and I have had them well over 10 years.

no offense but it doesn't look like that canopy is shading that car very well.
