  • Windscreen Scratches- Need Help

I was having a minor accident few days ago and sent my car for repair and paint.

When I collected my car today, I found that the workshop people washed my car (which I hate the most, how they can washed my car without my permission??? ) and I found that my front windscreen had a lot of scratches.

    Anyway to remove those scratches???

Thanks a lot for kind advise.

Hey Brian, sorry to hear about that. Usually when the paint shop refinish your car, there's a very high chance that they didn't perform masking properly. Hence you get paint overspray all over the glass. Speaking of majority local painters, they don't even know what is a claybar. Their practice is to use grit 2000 sandpaper on the windscreen to remove the paint overspray. This will eventually create alot of hairline scratches on the windscreen, which is very hard to be removed. The only way is to search for a glass expert to perform glass polishing using Cerium Oxide. That's the best you can do. Hope this helps.
