A client of mine has a white car which is not so old but its lacking the love and care that a new car should get. It has quite abit of scratches and a golf ball dent and to complement it all two bullet holes but thats besides the point. Just wondering if i should use the fine or medium cut clear (#1,#2)? I dont have a rotary or buffer so it would all be done by hand. Just wondering what would be best to use by hand to get really decent results

Hi promitch
The best option by hand would be to use either ScratchX and follow this with a wax, or use ColorX. ColorX is a one-step product that will clean, polish and wax in one step so another step isn't neccassary afterwards. ScratchX is a dedicated paint cleaner and will have to be followed with a wax in order to protect the paint.
From my experience, it sounds like this car is a good candidate for ColorX. Check out this before and after to see what can be done when you put a little passion behind the pad...
