  • What Product/Method?

    Hello,

I'm trying to find a good 'all in one' product. I'm looking for a product or method that I can use when I have no paint swirls/very few? I was thinking of #80 Speed Glaze, but I don't want to remove paint all the time, especially when I don't have to. I use a PC DA to apply and finish off. Last but not least...I have #82 Swirl-Free Polish, would #80 replace this?

And for the method I was thinking... I would just: (no paint swirls/oxidation)

    Wash
    Clay (if needed)
    Polish w/ #7 Show Car
    Wax w/ NXT (paste)

    (is this correct?)

    Thanks for input!

If you are looking for an "all in one" product my suggestion would be ColorX. I checked the G100 product/setting thread and it lists ColorX so you can apply with your PC/DA. I've had great success using it by hand.

      Well, to answer two questions:

      1. I think the best all-in-one product is ColorX. My daily driver gets: (I work by hand for now)

      1. Wash
      2. Clay as needed
      3. ColorX
      4. Nxt wax

ColorX can be used by PC as well. The cleaner/wax in the professional line is more agressive than ColorX.

      2. As far as you method, and the mildest possible, I would just make a slight change:

      1. Wash
      2. Clay as needed
      3. #82 Swirl Free Polish
      4. Pure Polish if wanted, like #7, or #81 Hand Polish.
      5. Wax

I think that using a paint cleaner to make sure the surface is clean is going to give the best looks and durability to your wax. Using a polish is going to keep any dirt there. And the Swirl-Free Polish is a cleaner/polish, and extremely mild, so a pure polish after may not be needed.

When looking at #82, #80, and #83, one doesnt replace the other. They are steps up in agressiveness, so you can choose what you need for each situation.

And working by machine , I would really pick #21 over Nxt. The results people get around here look amazing. Really need to get some myself.
