Question about M21

For best results, I would either use 2 thin coats of #21, or #21 topped with something like #26/Gold Class. You generaly would not use #21 on top of something else.
It should go on equaly well by hand, or with a PC. Though i have not used it with a PC, other peoples experiences seem to show removing it via the PC with a bonnet seems to add a little more gloss/reflection to the surface.
Remember good surface prep, etc is also essential to the looks of the wax.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Hey,
There is no need to top M21 as it looks fantastic all on its own!As the others have said, use two thin coats and you are good to go!!
My favorite combo over the years was #20 Polymer Sealant topped with #26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax. The combo provided the reflectivity from the #20 and the warmth as well as depth from the #26. But with the #21, you are getting the best of both worlds all in one, IMHO.
If you decide to top it, which you can, I have had great luck using NXT Paste Wax over the #21 but it is not necessary.

The below photos were taken after applying and removing two thin coats of M21 using a dual action polisher on the 3.0 setting with a W-9006 foam finishing pad. The wax was allowed to dry until it swiped clear and then removed using a microfiber bonnet on a clean, dry W-7006 foam cutting pad on the dual action polisher on the 5.0 setting.
These two coats of M21 were applied after an extensive multi-step buff-out using a rotary buffer but the wax really did top it off (no pun intended)

I use Meguiar's X4003 Gold Class Bonnet over a clean, dry W-7006 foam cutting pad to remove the wax.
Like you see being done here on this Corvette,

All three of these waxes/paint sealants have cleaners in them.
They technically cannot be classified as cleaner/waxes because they don't have enough cleaning ability to go after a wide-spectrum of paint defects like a true cleaner/wax.
If you want to use a Meguiar's wax that does not contain cleaners then you'll have to use M26, M16 or Deep Crystal Carnauba wax. These three waxes contain no ingredients with the intended purpose of cleaning the paint.

I apply #21 either by hand or with the PC/G100, W9006, speed 1 or 2. My only reservation with using the machine is that the pad absorbs a lot of product and I find it hard to clean the product from the pads (it doesn't really want to dissolve in anything, it's even stickier than NXT). I have dedicated a couple W9006s to #21 only. The upside to using the machine is that the product extends farther and it is easier to get a super thing coat with complete coverage in one pass.
I remove it by hand, but that's my preference for removing any product. I'm more comfortable with doing it that way. The machine and bonnets work fine, but I like removing the residue by hand.
TomAs the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

Tom
Our chemist told me your best bet is to try removing/cleaning right after using the pad. After 24 hours it's going to be very difficult to remove because by then the polymers will have fully set-up.
