  • Paint Scrub & #80... are they quite close?

    Hi all!

Just wondering about the Clear Coat Paint Scrub... does it even come close to the swirl-removing capability of #80? I think you guys will tell me that I should get #80 instead, but the shop here only sells 1 gallon bottles, and that could set me back about $50. So just wondering, will the Paint Scrub help, or should I just wait & save so I can get the #80?
I was hoping that the shop here sells the 16 oz. bottles, but no such luck...

    Hi furball,

The Clear Coat Body Scrub does contain a diminishing abrasive to help it to remove swirls and other below surface defects. I've had good luck using it by hand on both single stage and clear coat finishes. It is nothing like our M80 Speed Glaze however, completely different formulas.

I'm sorry to hear our M80 is only available in the gallon size where you live, perhaps you can find some car crazy friends to share the cost and the product?

Mike, are you psychic? That's exactly what I was thinking this morning! There are at least two friends who's kinda hinting to ask my help with their cars, and I was the one who's nuts enough to get an DA! Yup, I'll probably help them... for a price. (sinister laughter )

I'm a new user for meguiars products and love it ! been reading this forum for 3 months (registered a month ago) and always got answers to my questions, this forum is a great support!!

However Furball can you point me where the shop to get professional line products like #8 series ? I live in bandung and willing to share the cost and the product as Mike's advice if needed

Another option : I'd order through my brother who's working in the states and send them back to me.

Hi Makarizo, welcome to Meguiars Online!

There's a shop here in Jakarta that sells Meguiars products, and they happen to have the M80 aside from other goodies as well (I think you meant M80 instead of #8, right? )

Anyways, if you're interested, just PM me, and we'll talk about it, okay?
