gold class vs nxt

Hi i'm about to buy some meguiars products for the first time and am curious as to what are the major difference between the gold class shampoo and waxes versus the nxt shampoo and waxes?

Is one better for a particular colour or type of car paint. Is the gold class better for older cars and nxt better for newer ones?

I have a red mercedes 250d 1990 W124 series. I'm just getting into really taking care of my car a detailing and am trying to figure out which of the two would be better for my car without having to buy and try them all.

While there are some major differences in these products it's really not a one is better than the other situation as it is personal preference.

NXT does provide better protection than Gold Class wax, but some people like the look of Gold Class Wax over NXT Tech Wax.

Gold Class Car Wash is our premium, top shelf car wash and offers the slickest, highest lubricity features for cleaning your car but that doesn't mean NXT Car Wash is a slouch by no means and in fact I prefer NXT Car Wash over Gold Class.

NXT Car Wash offers more sudsing and contains an ingredient that helps to prevent minerals from depositing you your car's finish.

I'll let others chime in and comment on which products they like best and why...

I can not compare NXT Wax vs. Gold Class Wax as I have never used Gold Class Wax.

As for washes..... I prefer Gold Class Wash as my main wash with NXT wash a close second. Like mike has said GC is very slick, helping remove the gunk without scratching.

I like and use both, but at for darker colors, (for me anyway) Gold Class works easier (i.e. easy on / off and less "streaking" for first timers)....just my little opinion....
