  • #16 over #26??

I've been using #26 for about 2 months now (still a noob here) and love the results it gives - on my black Honda, it has the warmth and the depth!

As I was browsing the shelves at my DIY store I saw 20 cans of #16 sitting there!! So with all the raves I heard from you pros here, I decided to purchase 1 can of #16 to give it a try.

I know that it is a MUST to apply #16 very very very thin or I'll face a minor workout to remove it. So I'll make sure I'll do just that... this forum is filled with so much info!

Can I apply 1 coat of #26 and top it up with the #16?
If yes, do I have to allow #26 to cure or can I do it immediately? If I cant top it up immediately, how long is the curing time for #26?

My goal is to get the depth & warmth of #26 with the shine of #16. I'm not sure if this is even achievable hence this posting.

    Any advice guys?

      Hey,

      Great find on the #16!!!!

I would suggest after removing the #26 to wait overnight to allow the #26 set up. Then top it with the #16! The #16 will add a highly reflective gloss to the #26. I am quite sure you you will really like the look!!!
