  • Deep Crystal Wash vs NXT Wash

It is time for me to buy a new car wash soap. I was previously using Sonus Gloss Shampoo and I would like to experiment with some Meguiar's products.

The only product that is readily available in my area is the Deep Crystal Wash. If I want the NXT Wash I will need to order it online and it will be 3x the price.

What I would like to know is if there is a big difference between both products. I don't mind paying extra for something that is of better quality, but only if it's really worth it.

    Thanks.

I start all of my cars off using the Deep Crystal three step system. Since I buy a lot of that product, my local supplier also stocks the Deep Crystal wash. I have been very happy using the Deep Crystal wash but I think I might try NXT or GC wash next time I run out. The Deep Crystal Wash was much superior to the other brand's wash products that I have used in the past. Try Deep Crystal first and if it doesn't give you the look you desire, then try other Meguirar's products.
    Good luck.

I had a similar delimma not too long ago. Pep Boys had/has a rebate for the DC wash. I decided to buy the 128 oz. GC wash at Target and so far with the 2 washes that I did with it (before it got really cold outside), I really like it. It seems to make the pain much smoother than the Aromor All wash I used to use.

I was thinking about the NXT stuff at the time, but when I saw the deal at Target I grabbed it.

I do have to say the scent of the NXT products is really nice and a bit better than that of the GC.

        wanted to add my comment.
I've been using the NXT wash since I got a new SUV. since its new, I keep the body dusted and clean all the time.
when I used it on my 92 Acura, red in color, I thought that the red shined a lot better than previous shampoo I was using.
and I haven't really wiped or dusted the car after the wash. I know weather and conditions vary. but it seems to keep the car looking fresh.
even after a week, it would seem as if I just washed the car. not bad considering its my daily driver.
its been over 2 weeks now and you can see dirt and dust. but I was impressed initially after using it.
        I am pleased overall.

Well, they are all very good, no doubt about that. Personaly, I like the Gold Class or Nxt better then the DC Wash, but then I have all 3 easily available.

Do you have Gold Class around at all? If you are just interested in something different, that may be good for you, and it is available in larger sizes.

            Just to add..

I think the DC Wash is the sudiest, but I think that just counts more for looks in the bucket.

Gold Class seems to leave the nicest finish behind, and seems nice and slick and gentle.

Nxt Wash seems to clean the best, and is great for hard water, but maybe doesnt leave quite the slickness of the Gold Class.

I actualy keep both GC and Nxt around, and use Nxt when the car is dirtier, and Gold Class the rest of the time.

I washed my Mother in laws car once with the GC and she commented on how shinier the car looked. Usually it gets the drive thru or spray and wash treatment.

I have tried the soft wash gel, gold class, and the NXT although I am using NXT right now I think I will be switching back to the gold class shampoo after I run out b/c it does appear to make the paint shine more(@least to me )and I have a white car so it s hard to get good shine and reflection. I like NXT don't get me wrong but I just liked the GC better!

I keep NXT and GC around as well and use both but I reach for GC more than NXT.

I've used all of the Meguiar's shampoos and can't really tell the difference.

ya in canada your probably going to opt fot the DC because the NXT is only ony meguiars canada, but if your ordering alot you may be okay because shipping is a flat rate of $15.

I may just go with the Deep Crystal wash then.

I use the Gold Class, and I really like the look of it better. GC works better for dark colors (Black Truck)..IMO

This morning I called a local NAPA store and I asked if they carried Meguiar's products. They told me that they are affiliated with Meguiar's so they can order them for me. I ordered the NXT Wash and I should be able to pick it up tonight. The price also seemed quite good.

I now have access to all the Meguiar's products I need!

                            Thanks for all your inputs.
