  • Couple of Quick Questions

I just found Final inspection in the gallon size at a local retailer. The same retailer also carried the Professional Mild clay. I have a couple of questions regarding these products

    1) Is Final Inspection the professional equivalent of Quick Detailer? Any notable differences?

    2) Is the mild clay equivalent to the clay in the Quick Clay package (just blue). Any notable differences?

If they are the same.... I would assume the two could be used together to accomplish the clay process.... want to make sure I am dead on.

Thanks in advance everyone... this forum is one of the best things since sliced bread.

    1) Look at the packaging for #34 Final Inspection, it' in the Professional Line. Meguiar's roots, our history has been making products for the professional side of the industry, this mean we make products for people that work on car manufacturing assembly lines and the collision/body shop re-finishing industry, in other words... people working in fresh paint environments.

M34 is Body Shop Safe, Quick Detailer is not.

You can use both products as an enthusiasts in the same manner you would use any quick detailer. The #34 formula is specifically made to be safe for use where fresh paint is being applied, that is it's body shop safe.

If you're not painting cars in your garage then it really comes down to personal preference.

    2) I believe the Mild Clay in the Professional line is more aggressive than our Consumer Clay but still completely safe for use by enthusiasts. It's the Aggressive clay you want to avoid unless you're a professional and you are machine buffing paint after claying.

Purchased 3 gallons of the final inspection... of course could not get out of the store without the mild clay and NXT metal polish. I really enjoy working on the car finish. Thanks again.

I buy QD's in the gallon as well, much more economical than the small bottles at Wal-mart. The NXT metal polish works very well, you will like it, once applied water beads up like its a waxed surface!
