  • New Truck...

    Hey All,

    My first post here...

I just bought a new 2004 Dark Charcoal Grey Metallic SVT Lightning...

The paint looks to be in good condition and is smooth to the touch.. I want to really make it pop.

What products do y'all recommend for my truck

I do have the porter cable polisher...

I used to use a combinaion of fine cut (m-0201, i know its supposed to be for rotary only, but it worked good on my Porter Cable), Deep Crystal Polish and Gold Class for my 1995 Black Impala SS, but I am totally open to anything at this point, so make youre recommendations please...

    Thanks so much

    Matthew

    First welcome and great truck!

Here is what I have done in the photos of my 2003 L below in my signature.

    (This is what is pictured)
    Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
    Deep Crystal Polish
NXT Wax (Second Coat 12 hours after first)

    Recently I have done:
    #9 Swirl Remover 2.0
    Deep Crystal Polish
NXT Wax (Second Coat 12 hours after first)

Might try some #81 Hand Polish in place of the deep crystal polish. I just changed to #81 but have not used it yet. I hear lots of good things about it.

I guess no matter what the first two steps are go with NXT Wax it will really make a dark color look good!

    Just my 2 cents!
