I've heard lots of descriptions about acid rain damage and have seen some pictures. Most of the pictures I have seen of so-called acid rain look like water marks as if you didn't dry the car. I have tiny specs (or pits) that almost look like metallic flake but they are too far apart. So I'm wondering if its acid rain or not ?

IMHO an acid rain condition usually manifests itself as a deeper than usual etched water spot into the clear coat. That's the best way I'd describe it.Death Before Dishonor -
I would show you some pics, but sorry no camera. However, my MBZ suffers from acid rain detioration on the hood. The stains look like actual acid has been dripped on my hood.
Do the metal flakes look like little stars or like this * in a way. Kinda of looks geometrical?Comment

The marks I have are so small that I cannot distinguish a shape, as they look like tiny round specs. If I magnified them I suppose they could have a shape. If you look at the pics in the link below, mine would most resemble the metal fragment damage but again, my specs are tiny compared to that picture.
