What to use on a soft top Jeep?

My sister owns a 99 Jeep Wrangler soft top. I washed it with NXT, and vigorously rubbed the top of the Jeep, trying to get all the black marks off of it. Some came off, but still, it was there, and I knew I needed something more effective. Someone told me Comet works for that sort of job. Is there anything around the house I could use, or a product I could buy that would make the soft top look clean as ever?

Have you tried calling a Jeep dealer and ask ? Mopar must have something for it.

You could try Meguiar's APC+, i don't know about the comet though, it's bleach and may discolor the canvas.

Avoid the comet. I think that has disaster written all over it!

What, exactly, is the top made of?

Meguiar's makes a very nice product called 'Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner' (#M-39) which may be an effective product *IF* it is constructed of vinyl.

Have you consulted the owner's manual?

Actually, I am not sure what it's made of. I was just looking for some quick suggestions, hopefully from a big time Jeep enthusiast, :lol:
