    High tech applicator is softer on the finish. Even coat applicator is soft too, but has more bite. Even coat applicator makes waxing a breeze.

      Some people like how the larger Even Coat Applicator fits in their hand. I like it for applying spray waxes.

        I can't say for sure that this is the case, not enough experience, but I have seen enough commentary from the others here that I tend to believe this and keep it in mind when doing my work. I use the High Tech Pads primarily then Fall back to the Even Coats as needed.

        I have about 20 HTPs and 10 ECAs. I dedicate one for each product I maihgt use with it. Keep them in their own ziplock until used. Some get soiled to the point that they are not worth keeping and they are cheap enoughto pitch as needed.

        I used to reply solely on the Even Coats but soon figured having both in the mix were the way to go for me. For doing all my trim work I use the HTPs.

          I'm picking up a high tech applicator next time I drop by autozone. I think that when I use the even coat applicator, I go too fast and put too thick of a coat of wax. The other day I used a foam applicator instead, and lovingly and slowly applied the wax. I got much better results.

            Yeah, for me, I go to the High Tech first. Then, if over time I don't think the HTA is giving me the result I need I then switch to the Even Coat Applicator.

            You can tell I must like both. I am no pro but in the trunk of my truck I must have 10-12 High Tech Applicators and 3-4 Even Coat Applicators.

            I need to take a pic of my Trunk for you guys. You'll laught at me like everybody else does. When I open that thing people's eyes get big and they get kinda quiet. Then I get "THE LOOK". Then the inevitable question comes, "LIKE MEGUIAR'S, DO YOU?"

              Same here. Half of my trunk contains Meguiar's supplies. Luckily, the fragrance from the waxes, tire gel, polishes, washes, etc (though it is nice) does not enter the cockpit of the car.

                The even coat applicator is great for liquids, it really makes the coat even and thin=good thing.
                Tried it with NXT paste and that didn't work quite so well, the high-tech applicator worked much better.

                  applying by hand I recommend...

                  Liquids = even coat applicator
                  Paste = high-tech applicator

                    Sometimes I like to apply with the High tech applicator more often because this one is quickly after a short time fille dup with what ever product you use it with .. and wit a little more pressure you can press out (for example) the left over product so you can maximize your handjob with that applicator. The even coat applicator is indedd very comfortable if you gonna talk about comfort in hand. Sure a great improvement. that`s a con with the HT applicator that your fingers after a long job will get stiff ( ok i know that i need a pause while doing too long waxing the cars)
