I was in an autobody supply store today and I saw the pro line gallon size stuff, I think it is called "Hi-tech Wash 00". FOr tough spots they use APC (all purpose cleaner) and degreaser for heavy stuff. The store guy said that he only carries what the local body shops use most of, so being there gave me a good idea of what works etc.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo&Conditioner on my vehicles now. If you use the right brushes, mits, and the two bucket system in regular intervals, it stays clean for longer, and makes it easier the next time to wash

I just got a gallon of Hyper wash. Works fine IMO, one gallon of it is enough for about 100 washes.

from the Hyper Wash blurb : "Meguiar's has created a product that produces rich, stable foam at an unbelievable dilution rate of 400:1"

          1oz/gal is 128:1

A little Hyper Wash goes a looooong way. Leaves the car looking great too.

excuse the ignorance, but how in the world would you dilute 400/1?

With an eye dropper of course

I am not really sure I think its like a half teaspoon per Gallon???
How many oz in a gallon??? Ah heck, just squirt some in a bucket and fill it with water.

I've tried Hyperwash and it does work well, it's very thick so I can see why it dilutes so well. Gold Class just didn't do it for me, it hardly suds up at all no matter how much I poured in the bucket, after a while I was really pouring it in just to use it up and eventually just threw it away. NXT car wash soap works a lot better for me, suds up well and the suds last and it's slick. I know you can't measure soaps effectiveness by the amount it suds but it sure makes me feel better. I was going to get Hyperwassh but NXT is only a Walmart away.

I have been using the NXT and do like it but have a bunch of other products to try. Almost done with the NXT bottle so GC will be next. I goal is to use my consumer level products up first then switch over to using my Hyper Wash and Car Wash Shampoo up out of the Detailer lines. Once having done that I'll try #00 AND #62. I went crazy from the start and bought all this at one time. Should have enough to last for a couple of years. From what I have seen, I'll likely end up using #62 last and sticking with it. But, by that time Meguiar's will likely come up with something else for me to stick in the corner.

I poured some in a smaller soapbottle(easier to controll) from which I pour it in a meassuring cup, and whisk it around in the bucket of water. It's not that big a deal, I do the same with NXT but I just use less HW

I just use car wash shampoo for doorjambs, rocker panels, and other "dirty areas". In my experience, if you get it clean and keep it that way something like #62 will work just fine. Note that dirt doesn't stick to LSPs very well, so keep everything sealed/waxed and clean everything every time you wash.

Sometimes the paint in these out of the way areas isn't clearcoated or otherwise as smooth as it oughta be. I've had good results from polishing these areas up with a mild abrasive so they're nice and smooth before waxing/sealing.

At 128 oz/gal (US) 400:1 is a little over three gallons per ounce of concentrate. Of course it's not like it needs to be exact, 380:1 isn't going to make a big sticky clump and 420:1 won't leave the car dirty. It's pretty forgiving.

The handy thing is that Hyper Wash comes with a dispenser pump. I forget exactly how much you get per stroke (1oz.? .5oz.?) but once you have it dialed in all you have to remember is how many pump strokes your bucket needs.

I ordered my HW from autogeek and I got no pump I asked them about this and according to them they don't get them either.
